Borders Coupons

I opened up my inbox today to find these great coupons for Valentines Day.  Maybe you're looking to get that special someone a special book (or maybe you're like me and want to get one for yourself).  Either way, fear not, here are some coupons to get you through this weekend:

My Super Duper Price Chopper Shopping Trip!!

If you haven't been to Price Chopper this week, what have you been waiting for? Go, run, NOW! There are some incredible deals to be had here this weekend. First, check out the money-saving home printables here. I got the Freihofer's Cookies for our road trip Sunday for a buck and the Price Chopper Central Market Coffee for two bucks. What a deal! Then, check out the iSave machine coupons when you get to the store. Nothing for me this week, but maybe you'll see something you need.

Remember, Sunday's paper had 3 Double Manufacturer's Coupons up to $3. Price Chopper will double any coupon any day, up to $0.99, so to have them double $1, you can get some incredible deals. I used mine with a $3 off 2 Glade coupon for the candles you see in the picture, making them $0.19 each. I also used a $1/1 puffs coupon (doubled), bringing the one box of Puffs with Lotion to FREE! They were having a sale on those HUGE Dawn Hand Renewal- 2/$5 and I had a $1/1 coupon (doubled) and a $0.50/1 coupon as well, bringing the price down to $1.75 each, much better than the tiny Dawn Dish Soaps on sale at the drugstores for $0.99!!

Also (as if that weren't enough!), Price Chopper is running a Procter & Gamble Gift Card Give Away. Just purchase $25 or more of P&G products in one transaction and Get a FREE $10 Visa prepaid gift card by mail. This promotion runs until 3/31/10, but there were so many great deals this week, I went ahead and got mine already. One per household, so you know I'm gonna be callin' my momma on the phone and telling her to get herself one as well! The Puffs and the Dawn both count at their sale prices, meaning I had already accrued $7 towards the $25 purchase even though I only paid $3.50. I then picked up a 100 oz bottle of Tide for $10.88 and used a coupon for a FREE Tide Stain Release wyb Detergent, exp. 3-31-10 (P&G 02/07/10). I managed to use a second coupon on those products, a $1/2 Tide products. So I ended up paying only $9.88 for both, but it registering on the receipt as $14.87, meaning I'm already up to $21.87 for the P&G card.

I wasn't sure what to buy to fill in the balance until I was glancing through my coupon stack and saw a $1 off an Olay facial wash. I'm almost out of mine, and although I could probably get some other brand for free or close to free soon, I don't like to wait, it counts towards the promotion, and honestly, I really like Olay products. It just so happened that Price Chopper is having a sale on Olay Facial Cleansers, and mine was on sale for $6.39 -$1 off coupon = $5.39. I made it! Let's see how the numbers work themselves out:

$27.26 on receipt towards gift card
-$3.99 free tide product
-$1 off Tide
-$2 off Puffs
-$2.50 off Dawn
-$1 off Olay
Total: $16.77 Out of Pocket!
          - $10 Gift Card in mail
          =Only $6.77 for all the P&G products I purchased!

Not bad, right?

Let's see, what else have we got in that picture… Oh, the Snickers. That was, simply put, a moment of weakness. They were on sale at the end of an isle 2/$4, and tho I don't usually buy those types of things, I just HAD to, what with the road trip in a few days. Got the grapes for the same reason, although they were only $1.99/lb. It took some lookin' through the display, but I finally got some good ones. The sourdough bread was on sale for only $1 right inside the entrance. If I were thinking, I would have got two and froze one! I had some for lunch this afternoon and the bread is DELISH!

That about covers my Price Chopper run for today. Sorry for the long narrative, I'll try to be more succinct and just give you the numbers in the future. I am just so happy, I had to share the excitement! Oh, you want the bottom line for all this?

After coupons, sales, Advantage Card Savings and the $10 gift card rebate….
Total = $20.87

Sorry for the short sabbatical this week- work and health kind of take precedence over the blog. However, I am back with some awesome deals:
Start with this coupon for FRIDAY, February 12 ONLY! It’ll getcha 15% your total order.

I was going to do a whole post, but really, what’s the point when Common Sense With Money has it right here?!?! So, technically, I’m not back per se, but at least the deals are!
